ORDER: Before the court is pro se Plaintiff Leeroy James5 Motion for a New Court Date. It is ORDERED that this motion is GRANTED to the extent Plaintiff seeks to have his name changed in the style of the case from Leeroy James to Lee Roy Jones, and the Clerk of Court is DIRECTED to take the appropriate steps to effectuate this change. It is unclear to the court what new court date Plaintiff is requesting. On 3/31/2017, Plaintiff was ordered to file an amended complaint no later than 4/14/2017. Plaintiff did not file an amended complaint by that deadline, and Plaintiffs motion for a new court date was filed on 4/24/2017, well after his 4/17/2017 deadline to amend his complaint. Nevertheless, because Plaintiff is a pro se litigant, the court will grant him one final opportunity to amend his complaint to comply with the directives setforth in the courts 3/31/2017 order. Accordingly, it is ORDERED that Plaintiffs motion (Doc.5 ) is GRANTED to the extent he requests an extension of time to file an amended complaint, and Plaintiff shall file an amended complaint that cures the deficiencies outlined in the courts 3/31/2017 order no later than 5/5/2017. Finally, the court notes that Plaintiffs motion was submitted in a format that already included the courts electronic filing information at the top of the page. Plaintiff is instructed not to file documents with the court that already include an electronic filing stamp at the top of the page, as each new filing will receive its own electronic filing stamp upon being docketed by the Clerk of the Court.
