TEXT ORDER: The Plaintiff's Complaint1 alleges that: the employment practices alleged to be unlawful were committed within the jurisdiction of the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois, Peoria Division; and, "[t]his Court also has jurisdiction and venue, for the parties resided and did business in this District and the acts and transactions alleged occurred within this District." (Doc. 1 at pg. 2). Additional allegations provide that during the events alleged in the Complaint, the Plaintiff "was employed by the defendants at its restaurant located at 315 South Tenney Street, Kewanee, Henry County, Illinois." Id. at pg. 4. Local Rule 40.1(C) provides, in relevant part, that "All complaints and subsequent filings in cases which arise from the following counties:... Henry... will be filed at ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS." CDIL-LR 40.1(C). Accordingly, the Plaintiff is ordered to show cause in writing, by 6/9/2021, why this case should not be transferred to the Rock Island Division of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois.
