Order on Motion to Substitute Attorney Scheduling Order
Mon 05/06 1:11 PM
ORDER: Defendants request clarification as to whether representatives of Echo Drugs and Brooklyn Legal Services Corporation A are required to appear at the May 7, 2024 conference. ECF No.36 . The answer is yes. The conference to be held on Tuesday was initially scheduled for March 12. I issued orders changing the date of the conference, but not my directive that "[c]ounsel, plaintiff, a representative with full settlement authority for defendant Echo Drugs and a separate representative with full settlement authority for defendant Brooklyn Legal Services Corporation shall appear in person." And even if my orders were unclear, defendants should not have waited until the Friday afternoon before the conference to ask for clarification. The Court's order has been on the docket for weeks (and incoming counsel filed a notice of appearance in March). Defendants' motions to substitute attorneys, ECF No. 34 , 35 , are granted. The Clerk of Court is respectfully directed to terminate Edward Miller from the docket. Ordered by Magistrate Judge Lois Bloom on 5/6/2024. (NL) |
