ORDER REGARDING CONSOLIDATION PLAN. The Leovy and Zhang actions, Case Nos. 5:23-cv-03440-EKL and 5:24-cv-02531-EKL respectively, having been consolidated, shall be maintained under Master File Case No. 5:23-cv-03440-EKL. All filings shall be filed under Master File Case No. 5:23-cv-03440-EKL and shall bear the case name: In re Google Generative AI Copyright Litigation . No further filings shall be made in Case No. 5:24-cv-02531-EKL, which shall be administratively CLOSED. Each attorney who has already made an appearance or has been admitted pro hac vice in Case No. 5:24-cv-02531-EKL shall be deemed admitted in Case No. 5:23-cv-03440-EKL. Proposal for the appointment of interim lead counsel, not to exceed ten pages due 11/19/2024.
Google's Motions to Dismiss ( 55 and 24 ) are terminated as moot. The motion hearing set for December 18, 2024, is VACATED.
Initial Case Management Conference reset for 12/18/2024 at 01:30 PM by zoom before Judge Eumi K. Lee. The parties shall submit a joint proposed case schedule fourteen days before the case management conference. By December 20, 2024, Plaintiffs shall file a consolidated amended complaint.
