Pre-Trial Conference held; Plaintiff Karen Crowley and Defendant Marcus Phifer present; Ms. Crowley advised that she had filed a Motion for Entry of Default earlier that morning, but that Defendant Marcus Phifer told her before court she did not have his correct address; she further advised that the minor defendant is now an adult, and that she had not heard from the Guardian as Litem. The Court advised that Ms. Crowley must substitute the party now that the minor is an adult and then she must properly serve the parties. With respect to the closed Newport News bankruptcy case of Marcus Phifer 24-50601 SCS, the Court advised that an order reopening the case could be submitted, and once entered, the 6/13/2025 hearing would come off the Newport News docket. Once the bankruptcy case has been reopened and Ms. Crowley has properly served the parties, the Court will hold a Status Conference in Norfolk, rather than in Newport News. Appearances: Karen M.
