As a starting point, the October 31, 2016 trial date is firm and will not move as a result of the current friction between plaintiff and its attorneys. To keep this date, the rebuttal expert deadline is extended to June 8,2016 and the summary judgment motion deadline is extended to June 15, 2016. No further extensions of these deadlines are possible. The rescheduled depositions of Mr. Nelson and plaintiff's 30(b)(6) representative shall be conducted in Florida on two consecutive days within the June 1-3, 2016 range. Plaintiff's attorneys will be allowed to withdraw only if replacement counsel has filed a notice of appearance by noon CDT on May 27, 2016. Absent a timely appearance of replacement counsel, the motion to withdraw will be denied. Even then, plaintiff is free to fire its current attorneys, but it will not be allowed to replace them after noon on May 27, 2016. Because a corporation cannot represent itself in federal court, this would result in a default judgment against plaintiff, which would be with prejudice. Signed by Magistrate Judge Stephen L.
